belle

On Belle Avenue,
There was a yard, full of plants, lawn ornaments, chairs and babies,
Heavy gate that only latched when it was lifted slightly,
Down the hill, convenience store and the brown Mississippi sparkling,
Nearby, houses of candy,
one plain, one fancy,
Taco’s from Rudy’s
Mouth cracking and full of cheese,
Nanny & Papa
