Scaly friendly lizard sitting on a log,
Furry, shedding and enthusiastic digging dog,
Fire orange tabby sitting in the sun,
A Pyrenees appears in time for prayers begun,
She’s gone now but I still see her in honey sunlit brown eyes,
In memory of a world, less than a foot high
*My pet, beloved corgi, Ashlynn, has been gone for over a year now but here are some surrogates and a nod to her at the end.
