The snow fell softly as the lightning cut through,
If you weren’t thunder I’d have never heard you,
“How did you simultaneously mend and break my heart?”
“Unlikely” yet, “here we are”
There we were,
Wind cut by sword,
Hazel to blue,
Let your words be kind and true,
Let all that is bound, continue,
Let all that resounds rescue you,
From the shore
Of evermore
And whence you came,
As simple as a whispered name,
Webbed feet in the pond,
We swim on
