The heart is a gateway,
Some of the greatest gifts of G-d forfeited by those who’ve walked away,
All that you do flows from all who have flowed in to or left you empty,
It’s not often that love arrives without crash landing injury,
Once the dust settles who’s hands are clasped in the rubble?
Some diminish heart wisdom and say it’s only trouble,
You stayed, at any time you were free to leave,
How can a heart feel truth if the mind is deceived?
How can a bird take flight with bejeweled yet clipped wings?
Nature shows us the only way to fly is by falling
