The sun as it rises rusty citrus cotton candy dust,
We had all the love, where was the trust?
The truth is like lime/time bitter and blue,
I look at the stars sometimes, when I miss you,
If I could look again I’d still adore the hazel view
We were adult children unsupervised out past curfew
So we said our prayers and awoke attuned
I’d hoped it wasn’t an end but a to be continued
All things considered I could see cause to salvage the shiny
You left me unapprehended and locked, no key
Soon enough to be a memory
Next time, trees.
